About SCLN

The Social Change Leadership Network emerged from the Research Center for Leadership In Action (at NYU Wagner), as a program designed for grassroots organizations that engage in inclusive, grassroots efforts to address systemic problems as well as those groups that provide services on the front lines. SCLN works with over 700 of these groups by sharing tools, creating knowledge and building capacity. With the belief that collective leadership is essential to guarantee, sustain and invigorate democracy, SCLN has three (3) main aims:

- To help document and share the wisdom of the social change community about effective practices and supporting leaders in finding solutions to the issues they face through a process that strengthens the relationship between academics and social change organizers

-To support and connect leaders effectively advancing social change
by facilitating opportunities for personal and organizational capacity-building and dialogue

-To foster global leadership
by connecting local efforts to international networks and frameworks.
